Ecommerce Retail Processing Volunteer

Location: London

When: Monday-Friday, 10.00-18.00, 1 month minimum, between 1 to 3 days per week, 4 - 6 hours a day

Role reports to: Assistant Shop Manager

You will contribute to ending homelessness by

Processing of fashion garments and accessories to support income generation for our ecommerce department. Crisis shops, Cafés and products also raise our profile with new audiences and provide opportunities for our Members, through volunteering and our accredited training programmes, enabling them to gain work experience in various aspects of the retail and hospitality sectors, build self-confidence and be active in their local communities.

  • Some experience and/or a keen interest in fashion retail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, follow instructions and as part of a team 
  • Enthusiasm, patience and respect for others
  • Good timekeeping, attendance and communication skills
  • Understanding the importance of confidentiality and maintaining boundaries in professional environment  
  • Complete induction to the role

  • References for prospective employers  (for character reference min. three months of volunteering)  
  • Processing our stock through the completion of an inventory card (basic info + condition + main measurements)
  • Steaming of garments
  • Simple sewing repairs if you happen to have the basic skills required
  • Helping with the online listing
