Supporting Crisis at Crisis and our members with deliveries of hampers and wellbeing packs. Providing members who may be socially isolated with items to support their wellbeing at Christmas time.
We are looking for experienced drivers with access to their own vehicles to support with our delivery service to Crisis members. You will work closely with staff and other volunteers to ensure the safe and timely delivery of packages such as hampers and wellbeing packs. Ideally you will have a good knowledge of the surrounding areas, and for insurance purposes you must have a full driving license, have access to your own vehicle, have insurance which covers you for voluntary activities, have no more than 6 points and be 18+.
We expect volunteers to comply with Crisis policies including health and safety, data protection and code of conduct at all times.
We strive to ensure that our services are welcoming, remain relevant and are fully accessible to everyone that we help and support. We are particularly welcoming of volunteers from diverse and other marginalised communities, as this helps us ensure the best experience for those that we are here to help. People who have lived experience of homelessness are also particularly welcome to apply.
*The number of deliveries is dependant on the number of members who sign up to the service. We are planning Hamper and Wellbeing packs to be delivered on 29 December, starting at 9am. Hot meal deliveries will be on 30th December, we are asking for these deliveries to be done by delivery drivers who have already volunteered on 29th.
