Campaigns Support Volunteer - Admin

Location: London

When: Ideal time commitment of 1 year. You will need to attend half-day monthly panel sessions and provide approx. 2 hours a week, admin support for the yearlong programme.

Role reports to: Campaigns Officer

You will contribute to ending homelessness by

Supporting us to ensure we have the voice of lived experience at the heart of our EEA Nationals campaign. This campaign aims to bring about policy changes from the UK government to ensure that EEA nationals living here do not become homeless because of their immigration status. You will provide administrative support to our EEA Nationals Experts By Experience Panel; this could include taking minutes or notes, preparing resources and liaising with panel members prior to meetings.

  • Excellent IT skills with an ability to use email, internet, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good organisation and note taking skills
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, with a particular focus on listening
  • Ability to use online meeting tools such as Zoom
  • Good time-keeping and reliability
  • Non-judgmental, patient and friendly
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and maintaining boundaries
  • Be positive, productive and have a passion to help end homelessness

Due to the remote nature of this role, you will require access to wi-fi, a laptop and have up to date software and anti-virus on the device.

  • Meeting administration including note taking, preparation and distribution of resources
  • Liaising with members of the panel to ensure they have all the information they need in advance of meetings
  • Support to ensure resources are easily understandable by members of the panel
